About Me
- Caryn Brown Mosaics
- My name is Caryn Brown and I am a mosaic artist living in Tulsa Oklahoma. I grew up in California, Canada, Australia and finally Oklahoma. I have always known what my passion was - color. With an art degree from the University of Tulsa I began developing my skills from painting to mosaics with experimentation and self-taught direction. Over the past few years I have now enjoyed amazing inspiration and knowledge from regional and international mosaic artists as well. This enduring art form is at home inside or out, on the ground or hanging on a wall. My painting background is evident in my work given that the work is dependent on color, shading and imagery. I have returned to the Tulsa area after seven years in Kansas City. Currently I create my one-of-a-kind works out of my home in the Brookside area where I live with my husband Scott our two boys, Gus and Oscar.

For some reason people love fruit. This is the 3rd mosaic apple I have created.
Grazing Sheep Cedar Chest
A combination of glass inlay mosaics (routed to fit flush) and acrylic paint to creat a seamless image on an old cedar chest.
Blue Lady wall hanging
Large wall hanging created by using handmade clay tile.
Folk art dresser
4 drawer chest with mosaic sides. Circles on front and top are routered spaces for flush glass inlays.

Large half moon table inspired by Renior's On the Seine painting. All glass mosaic.
Angels Table
Table top using beading and stained glass.
Beatrix Potter Art Cabinet
Art cabinet for child's room. Sides are inlaid glass mosaic. Front is a combination of inlaid glass mosaic and acrylic paint to blend in the scene. The mother rabbit on the front was carved out with a hand router in order to allow the glass to sit flush.
